Southwest gave me these. Delta has some really good biscuits. American only does pretzels, and no one does peanuts anymore because allergies

So, Oppo, tell me what are the best airline snacks? I’m talking the free ones in coach. No blue bloods on this thread

The blueberry ones are amazing. I have them with black coffee whenever I’m doing homework late.

In lieu of peanuts, some airlines give out almonds which is nice to have.

The best free in-flight snack I got was this hot pocket kind of thing, a nice crispy crust with some mystery sauce/meat/cheese in the middle. Whatever it was, it was a pretty tasty meal.

Nope. Separately. I rarely dunk anything into my drinks, especially coffee.

I miss flying on Iceland Air. They gave out liquor and really good food to everyone.

I flew Southwest in January and totally got peanuts, except for the one flight where a kid guy on with a peanut allergy notice.

That’s true for most international flights. Keeping the passengers a bit buzzed but not drunk makes them less likely to fight each other.

Cathay Pacific gives unlimited free cup noodle on top of really good in-flight meals. I don’t think anyone is going to top that.

American gives out little cinnamon biscuits (cookies) on morning flights that are awesome. Hate the pretzels they give out later in the day though.

Overall, though, Southwests snacks when traveling to the West Coast are the best.

They switch to those damned pretzels pretty early. Need to get on a 7 am flight—

JetBlue does TerraChips or cookies or some other mixed goodies. In multiples.

I’ve flown Delta and American to Europe. No one ever offered me free booze. I must be on the wrong airlines.

What they do do is feed you on some weird schedule to get you used to your new time zone.

That goes conspicuously beyond the category of normal free snacks. I would call that a bonus score.

Almonds are good. Still allergenic, but not as much as peanuts.

Good job for a discount carrier. I’ve never flown them.

Yeah it was pretty good, I think it came with a couple of other packaged goodies like some candies/chocolates. It was like a little snack box.

If I remember correctly it was a Porter flight (a small Canadian airline) and my experience with them has been positive. If you fly with them you have a separate Porter lounge with free snacks/drinks which is also very nice.

Does this count? Not my favorite beer, but when it is gratis on Lufthansa international flights, it can be nice:

I also like the Delta Biscoff.

Unless they stopped recently, American served wine and beer across the Atlantic and to South America in coach.

They’re pretty decent; used to fly on them back in college. I was once on a flight where my TV was broken and they gave me a $50 voucher to use for my next flight and some booze. Not sure if they still do that today

IIRC, they don’t announce it or anything. If you order it they just serve it to you. But if you don’t ask, you won’t notice.

Yeah, they’re trying to cut back, and I recall discussion about the US airlines dropping it, but the foreign carriers would probably keep it.

Last flights I actually recall drinking free in coach was r/t to EZE in early 2014?
